Change username
There is no way to change your Freecycle username online. If you want to use a different username, you have two options:
1. We can change your username for you. To do this, click on the Contact link at the top of this page and request a username change. You'll need to give us the following information:
- The email address you use for Freecycle.org
- Your current username
- Your preferred new username and 3-4 alternatives in case your preferred option is not available. Your username will display to other members on our website and in email notifications. Usernames can only include letters, numbers, the + and - signs, and cannot include spaces.
2. OR You can delete your account and sign up again with your new username. Please Cancel any open posts first. Deleting your account will remove all of your previous information and any messages between you and moderators or other members, and you'll need to rejoin your Town(s).
