Forgot or reset password

To request a password reset

• Go to https://www.freecycle.org/login
• Click Request a password reset at the bottom of the log in window.

• Enter the email address you use for Freecycle.org.
• You will receive an email with a link and instructions. If you don't see the email in your Inbox, please check your Spam folder. Click on the link to enter your new password.
• Please note that you can only use each password reset link once. If you need to try again, please request another using the link above.

If you have trouble logging in again after changing your password, please do the following:

• Refresh the browser tab
• Enter your username or email address
• Type your latest password into the password field and click on the eye icon in the password to make sure the correct password has been entered.
• If you use a browser or password manager to save and fill in passwords, click the eye icon in the password field to reveal the password. Make sure the correct password has been entered, and then type any character after the password. Immediately backspace to remove the character. Why does this work? Our system is looking for characters to be typed into the password field and it may not recognize that something has been entered there until something is actually typed in.
