Email preference settings

You can view and reply to messages from other members and your Town moderators online at any time in My Messages.

Here's how to customize your email settings

Go to  https://freecycle.org and log in, if necessary.

Click on the My Menu icon and select Settings

Global Email Settings

Changing this setting will NOT affect the emails you receive about new posts in your Freecycle Towns (see Town Email Preferences below). The default setting is unchecked (off). After you make your selections, scroll down to the bottom of the page and click Save Changes.

  • Messages: Put a check mark in this box to receive an email each time a Freecycle Friend sends you a message.
  • System Notifications: Put a check mark in this box to receive emails for Notifications that require an action on your part, like when another member sends a Friend request.
