Set a default location

Tired of having to type your location every time you make a post? Here's how to set a default General Location

• Go to https://freecycle.org and log in, if necessary
• Click on the My Menu icon and then on My Settings

• Scroll down to the General Location field

• Enter a brief description that will help other members get a general idea of where you are located, so they know how far they would need to travel to pick up your item.
  • Location can be your neighborhood or subdivision, or a landmark, or your town (if your group covers a large area). Some town groups may ask you to use your post code.
  • Location cannot include phone number, email address, the @ sign, or a full street address. 
• Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the green Save button.
• The next time you make a post, this information will be automatically filled in the General Location field on the Make a Post form.
